What is a Hospitality program?

A Hospitality program is a program geared towards teaching you skills that you would need to work at a Hospitality establishment, such as hotels, casinos, cruise liners, restaurants, convention centres etc.

What is the difference between Hospitality Management and Hospitality Operations?

Hospitality Operations focuses on operational skills or in other terms entry level skills. A good Hospitality Management program should teach you operational skills plus the skills you would need to become a Manager.

Why do you often see programs that combine Hospitality and Tourism?

This is because Hospitality and Tourism are very closely related. Hospitality establishments such as hotels often support Tourism destinations and vice versa.

What types of jobs can you get when you take a Hospitality or Hotel Management program?

Night Auditor, Front desk officer, Reservation agent, Concierge, Waitress, Duty Manager etc.
