1. Is the Manchester Metropolitan University BA Honor degree from IMI recognized worldwide?

Yes, the Manchester Metropolitan University degree is recognized and respected worldwide. Manchester Metropolitan University is always ranked within the Top 10 Universities in the UK.

2. How can one apply for admission to IMI?

Please contact the Can-Be-Link Office for your study plan as we are IMI's Official Local Representative for Western Canada. Please see "How to Enroll" and "Required documents" on this site under Education - IMI for full details.

3. What are the base requirements for admission?

  • 17 years of age
  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in English, if required.

4. Can one transfer their credits to IMI and how does it work?

Yes, students who have hospitality or tourism related credits are eligible to transfer into IMI's program. Depending on their academic records, the IMI Academic office will inform the students which semester to enter. However, please note that IMI has already established transfer agreements with many Hospitality and Tourism programs in British Columbia, Canada - please contact the Can-Be-Link office for more information.

5. How long is one term?

Each term is 5-6 months long.

6. How much is the tuition?

Each term, expect to spend approximately CHF 28,000 however please note that this is the entire package, not just for tuition. This includes the Registration fee, Tuition for the semester, your Residence permit, Textbooks, Compulsory health and accident insurance, and accomodation & meals for the semester, also. The exchange rate is approx. 1:1 (Swiss Franc to Canadian dollar) Note: this exchange rate is subject to change without prior notice.

7. Are there any financial aid programs available for IMI's program?

Students can apply for private student loans through local banks or any financial organization. Students are also allowed to pay the tuition in 2 (two) installments. Please check with us for further details.

8. What is CHF?

CHF is Switzerland's national currency which is Swiss francs. They do not use Euro dollars as some of the countries in Europe do.

9. What is the exchange rate between Canadian dollars ($) and Swiss francs (CHF)?

At the moment 1 CHF is approx. Ca$1.00 Note: the exchange rate is only approximate and is subject to change without further notice.

10. Does IMI offer any scholarship?

The school offers scholarships in the form of encouraging students to work on campus. Students should apply when they are at school.
